There aren't two spaces between the lines. It's just extra padding between paragraphs. I think it actually looks pretty bad and cluttered without it.

I'm not taking any more suggestions about this layout.

My problems:
- Going to a new line (pressing Enter once) doesn't make any spaces between the lines
- Going down two lines (pressing Enter twice) produces two spaces between the lines as if Enter was hit three times.
- I can't make posts that look good because of this

This can be easily fixed if a user uses Shift-Enter instead of the traditional Enter when going to a new line. So if the user does Enter-Enter, the lines will be double-spaced; but if the user does Shift+Enter-Enter then perhaps there won't be that double-spacing.
