Stormy is going to hell for owning a mac. Her cats will also get sick, and I will beat her continuosly at mariokart.

I would purposely shoot cars to start hordes of zombies so that they can kill whomever Stormy is playing and then I'll leave her for dead in L4D2

I know about registry cleaners. I run one all the time on my Windows laptop. They are far from perfect and can't possibly detect everything that needs to be cleaned. Windows deterioration over time is inevitable, no matter how well you take care of it; anyone will tell you this. Yours is probably still "just as fast" because you're replacing the hardware.

Let me just make this clear: I'm still just as much of a "PC person" as I was before getting this computer. I like PCs. I would never try to argue that they're horrible or that Macs are superior. I'm just also enjoying this nice, new computer I got as a gift. I'm not going to go all fangirl and tell everyone that PCs are garbage just because I wanted to try something a little different and now have one Mac. Really, guys, it's no big deal. XD

I'm aware that it's pretty much impossible to replace the hardware (I assume that's what you meant by drivers? Because drivers are software, and I'm sure those have to be replaceable). It's the same with laptops, but people keep those for years and they're fine. I didn't get the computer so I could update the graphics card every few months; I got it so I could have a decent work machine for a few years. We already have a PC in my household that we can continually upgrade if we want to.

Wouldn't constant hardware replacement even out in price with buying a new computer every few years, anyway? It would like you're buying a new computer but over a longer period of time.

Also, you know how after a few years of using Windows it can get slow to the point where you can barely do anything unless you reinstall? From what I've heard this isn't nearly as big of a problem with Macs. There isn't a registry like in Windows with keys being added and removed constantly, so you won't have that problem where it gets gradually gets slower and slower with every installed program and every update. (Edit: after looking into this more, it looks like the consensus is that it does still happen, but generally not as badly as it does with PCs. Really depends on how much stuff you install in both cases.) I had a computer where I just had to wipe Windows completely and replace it with Linux because it just got unusably slow. I'm extremely careful about what I do with my newest laptop, and even it is starting to have that problem after only a couple years.

Unless you are planning on playing basket ball with it, I think it will not shatter.

By shatter I mean if a driver goes out or whatever, you can't replace it. You need to have it sent in to repair, or get a new computer. With Windows you can just frankienstien the thing. You relaly can't do anything with macs. They're good for about a year, but then the technology gets really, really dated and bad. I know someone with a mac who was telling me this.

You can write malware just as easily for osx as you can for windows. Users will click through the warnings and allow the app full privileges on either system, it doesn't matter.

This. Macs are not less prone to viruses, there are just less viruses directed towards them. But maybe there should be more, so they'll see the light and buy a Windows machine HEPH HEPH HEPH HEPH
