Maybe Ripto is an unknown create meaning he is made up! Or maybe he is an animal cross with another animal. I don't know, just my opinion.

I think wikia says he is a Riptoc which is some kind of dinosaur, same species as crush and gulp.

I don't know what he is, but all I know is that he is ugly. lol It also appears that he only this one finger.

He does kind of look like them, now that you mention it. Gives some credibility to the theory that he's supposed to be a dinosaur.

Yeah, apparently - look for the word "Gnom" in this image. First paragraph. It roughly says, "The little power-hungry gnome Greedio."

In the German version I guess they call him a gnome, but last time I checked gnomes don't have horns growing out of their heads. I'm gonna go with dinosaur.

Or maybe he's part gnorc and part dragon, and his dragon parent abandoned him, and that's why he hates dragons!

I'm guessing he's probably a dinosaur.....right? But he doesn't look like one. What is ripto? Is it explained in a manual somewhere? An interview? What is he???
If it's never said, what do YOU think he is?
