Tree Tops. Since I've played the game 50 times, finding everything and finding all the secrets is easy now. It's practically muscle memory. But I will never forget how long it took me to find everything in the level the first couple times. When I got Spyro the Dragon for PS1, I had also bought Prima's Official Strategy Guide for Spyro the Dragon.

I didn't really look at it for hints, I only bought it so I could read the game when I wasn't able to play (I was obsessed). But Tree Tops I had to glance at the guide. And even with the guide, it was hard to do the secret supercharge paths, especially since the guide for all its charm didn't have level maps.

That's kinda difficult... but I would say Tree Tops, the atmosphere and my first game over made the level quite memorable for me.

Hmm... interesting question, having just started playing this again, obviously the current most memorable levels are the first ones since I just played them, however, I do remember some. Were the levels with the little mini-games (i.e. hockey) in the first or second game? I honestly can't remember but I do remember those mini games very fondly. I think my most hated levels were the flight levels, by the time I'd get the hang of the controls, I'd run out of time, or be drowning

Oh wow. It's really difficult to choose. I LOVE the Dream Weavers worlds though. I liked rescuing the fairies in Lofty Castle, but I also love the atmosphere and music of Dark Passage. Hmmm... I love Ice Cavern too... GAH! It's too hard. I love them all!

Omg! I can't even put one above all the others. I loved Misty bog and Beast makers for the creepyness, treetops for the fastpaced gameplay, Peace makers for the weapons, Dream weavers for the ray gun, twilight harbour and the speedways for the insane difficulty, Lofty castle/Haunted towers for the atmosphere and missions, etc. I can see why this game is love so much. I guess if I had to choose, I'd take tree tops, its so iconic.

And I hated those herdsmen!
Also, there used to be my favourite music - credits in the demo in the level.

I think you mean Stone Hill. It's a pretty memorable level for me, too, although I think the most memorable level for me would be Gnasty's Loot. I play that level over and over, although it's not as fun without being able to collect all the gems. The overabundance of gems is probably one of the most fun parts of the level. It's music is pretty great as well, and the ability to fly infinitely like it's a flying level is awesome.
