My dissapinment with dotd was the lack of bosses, i expected more than 3...if you count the troll there is 4 but towards the end trolls became regular villens :-P

The Golem is just an Inconvience, it felt like they were just trying to fill empty spaces in the game with something they think would be climatic and contribute to the story. The first time was enough, then he pretty much trolls them until he dies. Destroyer was just as useless and another pain in the *bleep*

Most useless characters in my opinion would also be every boss in ANB except Cynder, Skabb, Arborick, and honestly the Golem in Dawn of The Dragon, I mean yeah he was cool looking but he just served no purpose other than to fight a boss just like the Destroyer.

Haha, yeah, the first time I played that level was kind of an anticlimax. I thought there was actually going to be a boss at the end of the level. I don't know if he really counts as a character, though, technically.

I was going to say meadow but you need to influence the tribe somehow. And Ravage Rider was just a pain in the you know what. Wasted Dragon time on him.

i'm actually inclined to agree with The Hermit as an answer. there are a lot of other characters who were more useless in theory, like every boss in ANB except Cynder, and also Arborick, the Ravage Rider, etc, but The Hermit was actually a character with potential who knew more than he said, and thus actually takes away from the storyline by not filling in the gaps they put there.

Hunter was just a waste...He just became exposition man and then when ignitus came along he never said a WORD after that.

I remember that,th e level was annoying and having to go through it and fight that, it was like a kick to the face. He was almost impossible to beat too

Arborik, the most useless and annoying boss ever. So useless and annoying that I remember its name even though I haven't played a TLoS game in years.

Not really talking about one's that don't fight [i.e. Sparx] but the ones you think the developers really wasted their time on. To get things started I say the Hermit from DOTD. Seriously. I wasted my time ttrying to figure out how to get through that ||CENSORED|| waterfall level [forgetting wall run] I waste time to go to him and get the key for the raft when all that happens is that I get attacked by the monkey skeletons and I finally find him. But all he does is say [In a nutshell] "Hey Cynder, I know you. You have changed but you're still dark and I hate you" That was a real pain for nothing just for sparx to find the key. So Sparx isn't that useless... sometime... all the time.
