First game I actually played Was Year of the Dragon when I was 4 or 5
But I watched my mom and my brother play Spyro when I was younger.

*Note: All of my Spyro games were passed down to me from my brother

I found Spyro the Dragon in my Easter basket when I was 8. We've been inseparable ever since.

I don't know exactly when i play my first Spyro game.

I think I played a Demo of Spyro 1 with my neigbour, but it maybe it is Spyro 2 Ripto's Rage like it is called in Germany.
I think I was 6.

I'm not sure, I think I played before the first title on my cousin PS1, but what I remember is that I got gifted for Christmas a PS1 with 2 games, Mickey's Wild Adventure and Spyro 2 Gateway to Glimmer. But I don't know which year The PS1 is the old big one, not the tinier V2. The pad had already R3 and L3. Should be 99 as I bought YotD on release (2001) So I was 7 (got it for birthday about YotD).

I had the first in 98, then never touched it again until 2011. At 38, I was looking for a game for my niece, and found they had revamped the Spyro series.
Fell in love with the game, but didn't like the ending of DOD. I think I went crazy after that, and I have since then written a fanfiction...or two.
Love the coloring (pure eye candy) and the simplicity of the game play.

I can agree with this.
I started when I was probably five years old on (what I believe to be) Year of the Dragon. I'm not actually sure. My parents didn't know much about video games, so when I got a PS2, they sold all of my old PS1 games, so I have none left, except one we forgot to sell, Crash Bandicoot 2. I don't have a clear memory of which game I had, but I believe it to be YotD since after replaying it, I remembered a lot of things. But for some reason, when I played the first Spyro, the title theme sounded very familiar. I assume it to be YotD, still.

It was Spyro 1 at a friend's house. I think I was 9.

For me it was propably demo of the first Spyro the dragon game. I used to have hundrets of various demos of various games that time.
EDIT: I was about 6 years old maybe
