No I mean it is really only 465gb, because the hard drive makers only count a gigabyte as 1000 megabytes (not 1024), and a megabyte as 1000 kilobytes (same deal), and a kilobyte as 1000 bytes. It makes the space a lot smaller than they say it is. Fun tip. To see the actual capacity of your hard drive, double-click computer (or equivalent), right-click c: drive (or whichever drive functions as your hard drive), hit properties. It'll say an almost even number (mine says 500000878592 bytes) and then next to it, the actual size (in my case, 465 gb instead of the advertised 500)

Don't forget that the recovery partition is hidden, you can take a look in windows partition manager if it is there, but YOU HAVE TO BE CAREFUL THERE! Do not edit anything there! Windows partition manager is the worst partition manager ever made and it can make you a lot of trouble. If you want to use it, then only for viewing partitions. NO EDIT!

else, even people not living in your house. I'm taking a college class that is
basically about hacking into computers and defending against hackers. If I
can figure out your IP address (which I am sure I can) then I can get into
your computer within a minute or two and read your files. This class is
designed to get the students ready for competitions, hackers vs security.

That's a pretty long password.

[Edit] ccrogers13, you might want to delete that "password list.txt" file you
have there, if some guy sneaks a peek at your computer files, you're
pretty much screwed. Instead, write it on paper and pin it up somewhere.

Im the only one with access to this computer, its just passwords for accounts i would easily forget that i will barely use. Nothing big. But either way my PC password and my password for a few websites and forums are the same. but its a password nobody would guess in even a thousand years. Trust me.

I'm not too happy with my processor platform, because AMDs produce more
heat than Intel processors, and Intels have hyperthreading that AMD doesn't.
