Plot: An evil panther who is the emperor of a universe that is perished in darkness, has requested his minions to destroy a purple dragon called Spyro, because Spyro is planning on destroying him.

Where it stands in the series: It is the game after a Heroes Tail

Collectibles: Gems (duh), the 84 rainbow stars, (which are all needed to be able to get to the lair of the evil panther) and the 4 energy orbs which give you new breath abilities (Lightning, Freeze, Chemical, Laser)

Playable Characters:Old ones: Spyro, Flame, Hunter, Zoe the fairy,
New ones: Caitlyn the ninja, Arty the monkey wizard, Tank the tiger shark.
