I think the best we can realistically hope for at this point is a spinoff game of Skylanders with Spyro as the main character. Actually that might not be too bad, if they did it right and took out all the toys and stuff.

see i was not sure if the new skylanders game was coming out this year or next year which is why i put that second part in the OP.

Speaking of SL i really don't see how it sold so well. i saw the whole set up for it at Walmart and it was around $60 and then the additional characters that you can buy since they come 3 to a pack are around $10-$20 the last time that i checked which was back in march at toys r us. i don't know if it was some special deal that they were doing or what but it just seems way too overpriced. i can see spending 50-60 bucks for a game (depending on the console), but not for this abomination that they call a spyro game.

anyway any and all news for any upcoming spyro games in 2013/14 are welcome and greatly appreciated.

Only fan games and SL (unless the people who've been talking about LoS4 for the past 2 years finally got to whoever made those games. >.>) I just hope that one day Spyro at least makes a compromise between original and LoS so a decent non-gimmicky game gets made. I'm gonna be waiting a while, huh?

If it weren't for the price, I'd actually be kind of interested in getting it; not for the "Spyro" part, but because the gameplay actually doesn't look too bad.

We'd love to give you news on future Spyro games if we could, but unfortunately no one knows yet. If there's a game in progress, it has not yet been announced.

But this thread is about 2013 Spyro game... Skylanders: Giants will be released this year if I'm right.

if it is the sequal to skylanders then tell me if you have heard anything about a game coming out in 2014 instead. Since i really  couldn't care less about skylanders, I really do not like Seirra right now.
