Hands down IMO the 1st Spyro game is the best, and of course the 2nd and 3rd are amazing too. I did enjoy Enter The Dragonfly even though it had its problems. Hero's Tail didn't really do much for me, but I did love The Legend trilogy. Still 1st Spyro game is definitely the best!!

There was definitely something different about A Hero's Tail when compared to the PS1 games... Or, a lot of different things... But despite this I really enjoyed it. It was far better the Enter the Dragonfly.

I think the originals are the best (particularly Year of the Dragon, followed closely by Gateway to Glimmer), then I think A Hero's Tail follows (a lot of people didn't like it, but I thought it was really good) then the TLOS series, though Dawn of the Dragon lets the side down a little. I don't really count Skylanders because, as has been said, it isn't really a Spyro game. I've not played all the Gameboy games, but they have an Originals sort of feel to them. However, I prefer playing Spyro on a bigger console, but that's no blot on the quality of the games.

What I here mean by 'best' is which I enjoy the most.

I think the originals are best.
Next comes GBA(apart from Spyro: Orange/Fusion).
Then the Legend series.

I have yet to try Skylanders, so I don't know where in the list I would place it. But I don't really think of Skylanders as a Spyro game. It's just a game with some form of Spyro in it.

Original is the best. Skylanders second though it's not Spyro game.

I think that we should all take some time to see what we love about our favorite Spyro game because my favorite is old because I just love Spyro the year of the dragon because it is funny fun and the first Spyro game that I ever played so holds a lot of nostalgia for me
