I don't understand what you mean. Developers don't have a hard time trying to create graphics that can max out what a system can handle. On the contrary, it is much more difficult to limit power to withstand what the system can take. New software is coming out all the time to help developers take advantage of new hardware easily.

So I just heard that the same people say the 720 will be using something akin to a Radeon 6670...

I don't get this at all, the 6670 is pretty weak compared to more higher end graphics cards. Why don't these consoles try to compete more against each other? I know that consoles tend to get more power out of their hardware than computers do, but if any of these consoles goes for a 6870 or 6970, then they would practically win the next console wars easily!

I hope it's true. If it's true than the XBOX will fail. And with it the entire FPS genere. RPGs will once again be through the roof.
