if it has bad visuals, that leaves the story. and if the story was really worthy, wouldn't the developers take it seriously enough to give it good animation? why give an amazing thing basic animation?

if they'll settle for refined MS Paint drawings for the characters, it mustn't be that good, or important to them. the exceptions are things like small, personal projects on low budgets. but TV show developers could easily have afforded better.
