Ponies tried to get me into Dr. Who.  I tried a few episode and haven't really figured out yet why people love it so much.  I can't seem to get past the horrible UK production value.

Low production value? Seriously? Do you demand the destruction of a major world landmark from every show you watch?

I suppose it's to be expected. Cultral differences often prevent enjoyment.

Im not saying its low im just saying they can't realy go all hollywood costings XD nor am I say what they do have is bad! im just...trying to let an american understand how things in the Uk work :3

Its made by the BBC, they make shows with TAX payers money, so there not going to go all out for the show as they do have to have a limited buget.
But even so its a realy good show. but be warned the writing changes dramaticly when matt smith joins, its a lot less sentimentle.
