It's actually fairly easy to squeeze in a "return of malefor" story in there somewhere to make the pieces fit.

even i am in the process of making a fanfic that combines the end of DotD with Skylanders. But the argument is stupid. Skylanders is a spinoff with its own continuity. I thought we covered that.

They could be right, I'm just making up some fanon. It doesn't matter, anyway. Having story elements from TLoS can't impact that much on Skylanders. You can go through an entire game without touching Spyro or Cynder, right?

Unfortunately, some fans are convinced thata Skylanders is a direct sequel to the LoS, since Spyro and Cynder have backstory elements like their LoS counterparts.
