1. They were being drained and locked, they wouldn't risk escape or attacking unless they wanted the armies guarding them to all spring out and annihilate them
2. they were overwhelmed my guess is.
3. Something twice as big as you that is no doubt going to curb stomp you is a scary idea

My cheapo answer to all of those questions:

Because the developers wanted to be "awesome" and try to make the story
more interesting.

Same thing as to why, in scary movies, the girl always trips when the
monster dude is chasing her and her group of friends, the rest of the group
turns around with frightened faces, and the girl screams as she's pulled into
a random dark corner somewhere.

It's all just a bunch of makes-no-sense junk thrown in to make a storyline.

Ok I have some questions about the Spyro LOS series, first question is how come none of the Dragon Guardians just grabbed the crystal before Cynder had the chance to get it? I would of taken it from her and ran away. Second question how is Cynder able to beat up the Guardians and overpower them so easily? and Third question, which may seem stupid to ask, why is Spyro afraid of Cynder as an adult? She's not that scary, if anything she's more *bleep*y.

Anyway voice your opinion or views on these questions!
