Original Spyro wins all the others. I like Spyro from Gateway To Glimmer the best. Though it's very similar to the other 2 original Spyro's.

I wouldn't say that it's too similar to the first game, but Spyro 2 and 3 are virtually identical, besides the storyline and some of the voice actors.

But Skylanders went the exactly opposite way and that's why i just hate Activision for it.

I did not know that it was the third game in the series, i just loved it, i actually managed to get to the final bonus map, even though i was about 9 years old or something, anywho, such an awesome game it was!

I enjoyed the Original Spyro games very much, they're classics and will always remain as classics, Enter The Dragonfly was also a good game and Hero's Tail was interesting to say the least. I didn't mind it, but it seemed too cartoony. LOS Spyro was my favorite and the storylines for all three games is so amazing and epic! The new Spyro Skylanders looks really stupid and I don't think I'll be renting or buying that game. I did enjoy the other Spyro games that are out there, but for LOS some of the other characters besides Spyro made me ask a lot of questions as opposed to the older games.

I'll probably rent Skylanders, but just to find all the glitches and b*tch about them here on Spyro Forums, just to make fun of the games

The first one was the second game I got for the playstation, and by far one of the best. It had really bad graphics, but it was early playstation and I can't fault the game for its limits. It had such an awesome style, sprawled out with a bunch of little puzzles even without the flight challenge worlds.

I got the second and 3rd because of the first, and they didn't disappoint. By the time of YotD it was getting more linear but the puzzles and sidequests kept me entertained.

The only others I've played were the gba games and the LoS series. The GBA games were good, but some of the little things about them put me off.
The LoS series wasn't terrible in its own right, but I don't think the maker was thinking about what people who liked the original Spyro liked about them, and stripped them down to linear walks down the hall, taking out the imaginative (at the time) 4-hit system, taking out the humor (except for Sparx's little lines), and trying to play it on the story alone, which was pretty good. Still my least favorite unless they try making a story with him without the humor.

Design and good storyline: Legend of Spyro and Spyro 2-3
Most difficult (I like a good challenge XD): Probably all the GBA games because I have such big hands!
Boss-wise: Original Spyro and Spyro 3

I chose Original spyro just for the nostalgia - ahhhh, the memories.

So, if you enjoyed LoS at all, won't replaying those games 10 or fifteen years from know kick your nostalgia into gear?  And then what would it be?
