How are we talking about Pokemon again? Oh, that's right, Skylanders. Yes, well, I would best compare Skylanders to a "Pokemon platformer" of sorts, rather than an RPG-style, which I've always thought would be cool anyways. And you have to buy each "Pokemon," which I guess is fine seeing as you only really need one (Spyro, included with the game) to play.

So yeah, overdone Pokemon metaphor aside, I think this looks like a good, yet very different from the norm, game, but we should wait for more info to come out to make final judgement.

Hence why you should play the games cus unlike everything else about pokemon(the show the cards)the games are actually great.and the plushies are good too if your into that stuff <_< >_>.

This quote right here sums up why I'm not huge a Pokemon fan.

Anyways, I guess I wish Spyro moderate popularity or something. You guys know what I meant! I want decent Spyro success and quality.

Some things depreciate in value to its most loyal fans because it gains popularity with casual fans.  Be careful what you wish for.

I think you guys are confusing powerup content, like in other games, that you earn by playing the game and purchasable expansion content that makes the game extraordinary for the more hardcore fan of the series.  You make it sound like you'll beat Gnasty Gnorc, but then you'll have to buy another character to go to Gnasty's Loot.  More characters should enhanced what is already a complete game.  And as far as the 100% of everything in all 32 character's content...  well, that will vary from person to person on exactly when that person is satisfied with the completeness of the starter pack.  Casual fans will find it easier to put the controller down, while me, I might just buy all of them eventually, if the game proves it's worth it.  Imagine if Insomniac released a Spyro 1.1 game that has 4 extra levels from the Spyro 1 universe.  Would you buy it?  Probably.

Yeah, I hope you're right. Worst case scenario I can just buy one figure of each element (That's eight, I think).
