I haven't took part in any forums for the past two years, so this is the first of my return,

My reaction to that newest spyro picture was.... 'wow, this is different', i would never had expected a change something like that before, i was thinking of a original spyro series reboot!

Well, i guess that their won't be a new era of spyro games, as i heard in another topic, some guys were talking about their reaction to that new upcoming game which has that picture featured from. It was a mix opinionized discussion.

Some say spyro is no longer a playable character, instead, he was to be treated as the other characters who are also playable, but their not spyro related, I may feel that this might be like that super smash bros game, if the title is wrong, i don't know too much about it, i've never played it before.

Some disagreed, saying it was a bad move to make a second reboot, but in my opinion, i don't think it's a reboot, i think it's just a game that features spyro in it, but not as the main character, which is shame for those who are very obsessed over him (like myself... actually nowadays i don't really mind), if their is a demo for the game, I'll drop the biscuit and try it out, see how i feel comfterble with the change.

Anyways, the picture isn't too bad, at least they let us know. I hope for more information to pass by at the bus stop. 

Well, due to the nature of the game the main character is whichever toy you choose to play as, so if you want to play the whole thing as Spyro you technically can.
And yeah, we have limited info on the game, but my fingers are crossed that it'll be good. It's already better in my eyes just because it's lighthearted like the originals, which is a refreshing change from the darker Legend of Spyro. I guess time will tell.

I know! They should've held off a few months before releasing the trailer so I wouldn't have to sit around in a state of nervous excitement all the time...

Anyways, I'm playing the original Spyro games while I wait, so it's all good. (Not that Skylanders will be too similiar to them, but still...)

We still need to see what the rest of the characters are

true, but everything so far seems like it could be done by any dragon.
I don't see anything 'special' that this could be a spyro game.
for example the TLSO games, legendary purple dragon, having elders and needing to learn all kinds of elements, ..
that was all Spyro-ey

If its any consolation, I think Spyro will still have most of his moves from the originals (flame, charge, headbash, ect...). Of course, considering the basic premise of this game is that it can be played with 30 different unique characters, I'm not sure the gameplay will be "Spyroey," considering not all characters can glide.

It's very new for a method of gameplay I think, everything for me about this game is positive, although, the only downers I have are Spyro's design, and the elements of making this a 'real' spyro the dragon game has been taken away a little. I mean, they could've just made this with any character really.

it's like Kirby's Epic yarn. they totally removed the suck attack, making this a game which could have been any character. it just the removes the unique element of the character's gameplay.
