Nah this is considered another total reboot driven towards 6-12 year olds. As bad as DotD was at times this kind of game makes it look like a masterpiece as far as I'm concerned.

all there doing is making spyro one of the tack collectables. A real shame realy

I can almost see the "custom mission" levels being a possibility in this game. Perhaps players will be able to sandbox their own objectives in addition to the premium agenda and campaign the game already has.

And since these characters "level up" as you play the game, it's understandable that some sort of online content would be appropriate.

However, one article about the game reveal suggests that because of the 6-12 age grouping, hardcore gamers that love to level up wont find this game too interesting in that respect.

What about the slim possibility that the ending of DotD brought Spyro and Cynder to the land of Skylanders and became slaves to that world's adventures...???

These characters that run along side (and sometimes in front of) Spyro seem to have their own hero stories and backgrounds.

Lol, actually i think a spikey haired Spyro would look better then the one they have made now. lol and angsty Spyro would be fun (If Cynder was included).
