What Neo said, I really wont believe anything on the internet in terms of information and people claiming to do things unless I know so for a fact. Either way it's nothing that seems very exciting.

If one Guy did not Make the character and it took several different people, Voice actor, Writer, Animator etc then it's a group thing

I really cant say for sure if this guy is the real deal or not but you may never know for sure. If he did make the ideas of spyro then of coarse he wouldnt be credited. unless it was based of his idea from an Inspired piece of art, literature or music that he made... at least thats what i remember HAS to be credited in anything.

The guy is called Craig Perkins (via genshi.com). He was credited in Disruptor and Crash Bandicoot for Quality Assurance under Universal Interactive. He is not credited in Spyro, like he said.

However, I don't buy that the game was his idea. The people at Insomniac Games created and developed this game and I'm pretty sure that it was a member of Insomniac named Craig Stitt that wanted to make a game about a dragon.

I gotta admit. I don't really care.

It's kinda like Microsoft's creator rumors. They spark interest for those people involved. The consumers could really care less.

And since Spyro 2 and 3 were extremely successful sequels that he obviously wasn't a part of, it's evident that he wasn't a critical point of the gameplay that made Spyro awesome.

I recently come upon genshi on MacRumors.com
He said he saw my Spyro the Dragon wiki upon my signature, and asked if I had any connection with the game. I thought he made a misspelled. So, I putted my Youtube URL and said "ring any bells? "

He thought I was Michael John (I putted "Mike" as my name on YouTube) and thought I was the producer Michael John of the franchise. I told him I was just a fan, and asked if he worked on any Spyro games.

He replied:

"Ahh, that's cool. Yeah, actually, the game was my idea. Long story but, I left half way through the game so I didn't get any credit on it. I do have credits though in Crash Bandicoot and Disruptor. But when they didn't give me credit for coming up with Spyro, I left Universal. Oh well, that's how it goes in that industry."

Kinda crazy. I don't want to give a link to his user page, because I don't want you Imbecile's aggravating the hell out of him. But, unless your one of those *true* people I can count on, PM me.
