One of the many claimed "plot holes," Spyro could have meant the blood relationship between him and Cynder, but I think it's more reasonable that he was more understanding her innocence.  Throughout the trilogy, Spyro is known to somehow have an eye for righteousness and morality.

This is followed up by Ignitus' quote about how Spyro is different from Malefor.  "Because I know you.  Your heart would not allow it."

Yeah his so pure that everyone forgets that he blew Gaul into a statue and smashed it into pieces...Killed enemies in fierceness ways...Has separate universe versions of himself that eat sheep, taunt foes without mercy and one of them looks like a goblin

yes burned in a fire, but luckly it was just a m,inor burn so he wen't back to Ember.

"Hi spyro smash this Dark gem then please" so I think adding her little crush on spyro gives her a sligly funnyer part, if not taken to serriosly by cynder-tards

The whole point was that she wasn't developed at all, the developers just stuck here and Flame in there to take up space and show some dragons other then Spyro actually at his age, even though one was just the same design with a longer snout.

Either way they could have chosen to do a lot more with that particular character had they wanted to, but instead just left a bland and very annoying fangirl like character. What I'm saying is that I as a fanfiction writer remember when Spyro/Ember was like the only pairing around, and when Cynder first came in that was considered the rare pairing.
