And true, we are a huge minority here now, aren't we? I mean, there used to be a couple good TLoS fans here, but now there either totally silent, remain in the RPG section only, or have left.

Well, I mean it's kinda where they treat you in a lesser way for liking the games. That's what bothers me truly.

I could be totally wrong about this, but this seems to be what I've been noticing in Spyro communities. LoS fans don't have an easy position to argue.

There aren't many things about LoS that you can point out and say, "That's what makes this a great game" and have everyone agree. What the fans consider good things are often considered flaws by others. For example, the part in this thread where I said LoS was cliche and shade105 said he liked cliche.

LoS fans also don't have the best reputation with some people, because a lot of members probably remember right after DotD came out when a lot of very young kids who knew nothing about how the internet works suddenly discovered that they could share their opinions with the world and annoyed the original fans, who tended to be older and more level-headed when it came to Spyro. Meaning they didn't scream and cry and send death threats when people didn't like the classics. Those fanbrats are mostly gone, but they didn't leave many people with a good impression of LoS.

LoS fans are also the minority around here these days, and it's hard to argue when everyone's against you.

So if you put that all together, if a LoS fan points out something they like about the series, original fans are going to come pouring in demanding to know why they like that. And it's hard to argue with that because there's not always a reason why, or at least not one that they'll accept. 

I used to do this with people who like Twilight. The series has all kinds of things wrong with it, and I figured that if people liked it they're obviously just not aware of it. So I would argue with them about it, even if they clearly didn't want to. But then I realized I that they don't have to justify to people like me how they could dare to like Twilight. It's fine if they just like it, even if there isn't a reason I agree with. It doesn't make them stupid.

That aside, reasons are helpful if you're going to be arguing for something, though. So if you come into a thread and declare something like "Classic Spyro's attitude sucked," be prepared to back it up, because people will challenge it.

Well, that's enough of my rambling. TL;DR, it's hard to argue for LoS, but being able to argue for it isn't and shouldn't be a requirement for liking it. BUT if you do make statements you can't back up, be prepared for people to try to argue, because that's what forums are for.

Its not as fun as the origonal spyro's, yet they were fun in there own right....

but DOTD...well lets just say i hate it more than any game i have ever played.

I think all The Legend of Spyro games are awesome! The Legend of Spyro games are the only games i like and the only games i love!!

No offence as is your opinion, but If you want to get into games you have to be open minded and try other stuff...
