The headless chicken recorded for living longest without its head survived roughly two years headless. It was named Mike, and as he was beheaded it missed an essetial nerve therefore allowing it to live providing it was fed and watered through drips. However, it eventually died from choking.

A car? A sofa? No, it's a grapefruit. Whales only have throats with a diameter around that of a dinner plate, therefore although they have enormous stomachs, their throats are small. Well, small-ish.

It turns out that it's an ostrich. Though they lay enormous eggs, their weight is less than 1.5% of its mother.
The largest egg compared with the size of the mother bird is that of the spotted kiwi. Its egg is 26% of its own weight: the equivalent of a woman giving birth to a six-year-old child.
