It has changed a bit with the fourth series though. Because of the deal that was struck to keep the series going, instead of there being a long wait between airing in the UK and the US, the show is being aired virtually simultaneously (with the premier of the fourth season being on New Year's Day in both countries). Series Five is already in production and there'll be a slight change for that one too - it'll air in the UK at the end of 2011 on Watch and won't be shown on ITV until early 2012. No idea what the schedule for the fifth series is for the US though.

Douglas Henshall has left the series to pursue other roles - a reasoning which made me laugh because I've only seen him in Collision (which was pants) and The Silence, neither of which have even come close to the success of Primeval. Somehow I think this is going to be one role he'll regret dropping, especially when the extent of its fanbase became known when there was uproar following its cancellation.

Don't get me wrong, when he first announced he was quitting I was gutted because his was my favourite character. However, it has allowed for Connor and Abby to take much more central roles; which in Abby's case is much better and in Connor's case is just funny because he's such an idiot, in a cute way.
The paradox theory is something I toyed with once, but its unlikely. If that were to happen then why was there not another, alternate Nick Cutter when they caused that alternate reality? No, I doubt it somehow. I get the impression that a person can only exist in one place at a time, otherwise when Nick came through that anomaly he would have ran into himself at some point - Helen too and she hasn't run into herself either.
There may be another Helen though, after all we already saw that she had obtained cloning technology from the future. Though it may not be as perfect as she made it appear, I mean I thought she was going to clone Stephen, but that hasn't happened either.
