It seems that you are all treating this like another DS update (DS lite to DSi for example), it's not. The 3DS is a whole new console (like how PS2 is different from PS3) It has a whole new engine that can support much better graphics, a new controll layout including a thumbstick and most of Nintendo's handheld games released from now on will be onlly playable on the 3DS.

I've seen a few sources that indicate this game, at the very least, is chancing as a 3DS release. In case this game doesn't release on PS3 for some stupid reason, that might just be enough for me to buy that overpriced handheld. I'm such a hippocrite.

I just hate things being advertised in 3D. We should just imply it now.

OH!! And those freakin' crooks at the movie theater should stop charging 2 dollars to rent a pair of cheap-o glasses for 2 hours.

That's the cool thing about non-glasses 3d technology. It's still being held from heavy marketing, but the 3DS is the first real thing like that to keep from discriminating against people who wear glasses for correction.

I think they should open it up in 3D and 2D giving the play choice, i also belive they should open it up on other consoles such as Xbox 360 and playstation platforms

Well, although it looks pretty, I'm not getting one. I'm going to get a new DSi For Christmas, so I won't be able to get one of these. Maybe, when they release the second version (because we all know they will. Why make us buy one DS when they can make us buy 2?) I'll get one. But until then, not interested.

Spyro would be awesome in 3d, the fire effects and fight scenes would look lush on a 3d screen. I wonder if the camera's or microphone will be incorporated into the game.

It doesn't look that 3D on the video, but it probably wouldn't, not if its not on a 3D screen.

Anyhow, I think it'd be interesting if they released it on 3DS, but I don't really care either way, because I've got my DS lite and I'm not really fussed about spending a heap of money on a new one that is pretty much the same. :\

It's a great invention, though.

What's the possibility that Spyro's Kingdom becomes a launch release that is one of many to feature stunning 3D technology from a DS handheld? The 3DS is set to release in February 2011 in Japan, and March 2011 everywhere else.
