The superflame was a cool idea, but since you really can't miss it once you get to the area with Gnasty, it serves no purpose other than to break that chest, so I guess that was why they got rid of it. It could have been an interesting challenge to have to go and find that fairy somewhere and rescue her in order to get that powerup and damage Gnasty. Giving Gnasty some more armor might have made it obvious that he couldn't be charged or flamed normally.

I don't know why they would remove those platforms, though. Doesn't look like they add or detract anything from the level.

Unrelated comment: From reading the captions, I guessed about halfway through that the owner of this video was LXShadow and had to go to Youtube to see if I was right.

Sure but I think it was mostly due to the same crunch time that prevented them from finishing Machinist/Gnorc Gnexus. Gnasty jumping on the platforms and the presence of enemies looks like a beta for something a little more elaborate than what we got in the retail, and the superflame could've been used for many things. If an HD remake comes out, I hope they iron out the missing content, it would further solidify this as a great game.

it's not hard now, but when i was younger, i had a lot of problems with the shrinking platforms, too.

I'm not a fan of the gems in Gnasty Gnorc's level either. It pretty much guarantees that you have to do the lap twice if you want all the gems.

Well certain parts were designed to be difficult (think Misty Bog and Tree Tops), but the bosses were never that bad.

He's known most for being Luke Skywalker, and he is legendary, but that doesn't mean he did a good job for it.  He's a better voice actor now, but I never liked his acting.

This is the most stupid boss ever!!! I've just spent the last 3 days playing spyro to come up against this pile of crap?

You have to chase 2 thiefs??? Why not  a really hard one that will put up more of a challenge instead of 2 wastes of time?

As soon as I finally got the second key, I got my chance to destroy gnasty gnorc. I was excited, estatic. Spyro is an amazing game and I honestly thought the final boss would be legendary but what did I get? Yet another stupid chase over high drops and easy falls. When the *bleep* gnorc thing stopped, I was ready to give it the beating of a lifetime but what can you do? press circle once and he runs into this stupidly hard lava level which has no point except to ruin all your hard work.

So, it's incredibly easy to die so when I did the first time I thought to myself, Okay, surley the games creators wouldn't be that low to make me start all over again. Guess what? they are! I have to do all that hard work again and again.

I've completely given up on spyro now and I'm never going to play the load of crap ever again, this is the worst boss ever!
