I can speculate that the reasoning for the Wii's poor playing results is due to the audience it aims for. The Wii was marketed to be a console largely for casual gamers (well, a console for "everybody"). The targeted demographics is comprised of those who don't typically devote their love to video games as much as hardcore players. The PS3 and Xbox360 however are oriented more towards this group of people. The proportion of certain genres for these consoles reflect this fact: shooters, war games, fighters, etc. These genres typically are host to a number of hardcore followers.

My main point is that I believe the results are largely due to the audience targeted as opposed to poor performance and product dissatisfaction.

That's right.  This is why I think it's kind of oxy-moron to say, "I really love video games, that's why I got a Wii!"

Sales don't count as popular i mean the quality if the games on ps3 and even xbox are better then on the wii.

Most of the people I meet are older than that. I meet a lot of people in
their 40s and 50s. Yes, there's a bunch of immature little kids who
shouldn't be playing *cough*Halo*cough* but the chart is off.
