Seriously, if you showed the first picture to someone who knew nothing about Mario, I bet he wouldn't even be able to see what it was. Megaman had insanely good graphics for it's time.

I guess I don't know what the difference is between megaman style and 8 bit style. I guess in the character is humanoid, he extends his arms like megaman, but other than that...
