In general for ALL message boards like these:
-Half of all members will post once.
-Half of those people who post at least once will post 10 or for a week or two.
-Half of those who post for a couple weeks will post for a couple months.
-And finally half of those people are us.

I call it internet's social natural selecton. It may or may not be something to boast about!

Hi Raven, been a while since I've seen you here.

I definitely never imagined it growing this much at first. We started out really small, with just a few friends who knew each other from Neoseeker and a couple newcomers to our little group. It's amazing how far this forum has come, all things considered.

Wow, for a site that doesn't do any active advertising, its doing pretty well. When you first came on this site, did you imagine it ever becoming this big?

I'm guilty of joining a few forums and never posting.

Some people might think they'd like the forum, but then they have a look around and see that it's not something they're interested in. Some people might be busy in real life or with other things on the internet and forget about the forum after they sign up. Lots of possible reasons.

As far as I'm aware, SR doesn't do any "advertising" like the ads we see on this forum, but a lot of people go on other forums and link to this one in their signatures. It would be great if everyone could do that to try and get this place some more activity.

Don't push yourself. Only post where you have something meaningful to say, unless, of course, you're posting in the SPAM section.

And there's absolutely no pressure.

I need to start posting more often. I used to be really active the first couple years after I joined, but now I hardly ever get on here. It seems like the topics are less interesting for some reason...

Such a shame that they never bring their views to the table. I'd love to see the varied opinions of others and why they think that way. Not enough debates going on...

I notice that quite a bit on forums. People sign up, then never post. Kinda dumb in my opinion.
