What I love is when there's a cluster of different colored gems. Like, when there's one green, one red, one blue and one yellow. It looks like Christmas lights :3

I like the purple ones, followed by the yellow ones. When you leave a speedway, you see a load of yellow, purple and indigo gems go flying across the screen, which just looks awesome.

EDIT: Meh, forgot this was the Spyro 1 forum. Ignore the speedway comment, I'm not sure if it applies to Spyro 1.

The yellow gems obiviously.
beacause i found theses are the most valuables ones.
they are very tiny, the pink one is BIG

purple/blue. whatever the color is for the "5" gem

Yes,I like the fact that they're worth 25 points but I mainly like them because of their colour(even though I'm not really a pink person.. ).
