I like the idea, but I can't really imagine it as a game.

Be good as a fanfic though - I've always nibbled on the idea of Spyro veering down the Malefor root, as it would make him way more interesting.

I wish they'd put things like that into the series to make it less sue-ish. Spyro ACTUALLY going down the Malefor route without going all 'RAWRZ IGNITUS IS DEAD SO I TURN INTO ANGRY EMO DARKSPYRO NAOW!!!!!1!!1', being made clear that Cynder was actually a bad guy all throughout the series like Malefor claimed (Stuart Little 2 anyone?), etc...

I also think that one of the reasons the charecters got really overdramatized is that krome went a sold the game to someone else cause I'm prety sure krome had a whole different ending in mind. Plus these noobs who did the last game were mainly focused on improving the game as a GAME not as a story...it was cool, mind you, that they gave us the free flight and co-op stuff plus graphics... But I think they compleatly neglected the story line cause it had so many gaps and stuff.   <_<

I thought that was a fun game. Tbh.

But if the writers did it right, and actually made Spyro less of a gary-stu, then maybe we can see something cool out of it. The actors could be these good actors who do not OVERDRAMATISIZE their emotions. Hey, it could be a game where you feel sorry for Spyro rather than hate him because he is a gary-stu.

hah,I actually think that game was awsome xD (even the werehog stages on the xbox360 version...)
But anyway I think the whole dark form stuff is really overused in game franchises/cartoons ...
I wouldn't like to see Spyro going that way D:
but TLOS tends to copy alot of stuff so ...
But we still don't know what will the upcoming game be about...(*crossed fingers* for classic Spyro x3)

Yeah that's true...This is still supposed to be a spyro game. But I think I still have a few ideas up my sleave.

But first one question... What do you mean by a different object or being?

Well it could be a trilogy, right. So...maybe...In the first game you have to find the chronicler again and play as spyro then... or maybe you could do the 2 player thing again and when ever spyro is weak he loses control and he becomes the bad guy...or maybe in parts of the story while your playing spyro he starts to lose to the darkness and cynder has to defeate him to knock some sense back into him, all the while it gets worse and worse... I think theres allot of options with a story like this... (:)

Well you could run around in the first game with minor sighns of his darkness (when his darkness rises you could go all crazy mode and start destroying everything) When you finnally do get back to every one like ignightus but when they can't help they have to find the answers for themselves. In the second game I could get worse Like ...spyro could randomly turn on cynder and every other allie around momentarily and it be a little cutscean were you had to fight him while he destroyed everything else...I the third game you play spyro a little bit before he gets scared that hes going to end up killing everyone so he runs away and then i go back to my first thought from up top...

I hope that helps make the game idea a little more spyro-ey for my spyro buds out there...

And It would be awesome if it had a huge and long storyline.

I like the dark spyro coming back everynow and then.
How about spyro must travel back to some of the previous places he has already been to, but they have changed a little.
(Like Spyro and cynder have to go back to her old Domain.)
(They go back to the dragon temple.)
(They are back at Dante's Freezer.)
(Tall Plains)(Warfang)(Avalar) But still have more new places than old ones
