Darker atmosphere

Spyro 3
More content
Darker villain
Better story
Better bonus world

I may have to say Spyro 2, but 3 comes very close.

I think it's really close, honestly. I haven't played the third game in years. I think they're both better in certain ways.
YotD exceeds in:
- Better soundtrack
- The moneybags chase
- Better bonus world
- A LOT more stuff to collect
- Better challenges

RR exceeds in:
- Infinite fireball
- Double-jump glitch gives it great replay value
- Swimming-in-air glitches more prevalent and are in every level that has water (excluding Autumn Plains homeworld obviously)
- More interesting scenery/levels

They're both amazing, it's splitting hairs because they're both phenomenal games that exceed in different areas. I think I'd be tempted to give YotD the edge in terms of enjoyment simply because I haven't played it in years and it has a lot more to do, so I'll enjoy it a lot once I get it for Christmas, but I think as far as which game is better they're both just about even.

I think I like Spyro 2 a tad bit better.
It just seems more... original? I dunno. I think the levels where a lot funner.

Really REALLY close here. Spyro 2 barely wins out. Moneybags' greediness is more comical and less overdramatically comical at that. The orbs and talismans style of RR make it more entertaining than YotD's eggs and...eggs. Yotd did beat RR pretty badly in 2 spots though. 1 was giving the player the chance to beat the gems out of Moneybags instead of letting hunter do it. The second was the much more entertaining secret world. If it weren't so small, you could call it a homeworld of its own.

I think I'd have to say Spyro 2..What with the cool levels and the double jump bug.. :3

But YotD was awesome as well..And indeed,chasing Moneybags was the win. ^^

I would say Spyro 3, because it's more fun, and speaking of fun, it has a bonus world which is 'simply' fun! The story was far more intersting, a cheetah and a rabbit love story, makes my butterflys go 'stomach swimming'. It's weird but it's true!

i like them both but i like 3 more cause thers more gems, more things 2 collect (eggs) 150 and the bonus world is better and money bags chase
