Are you kidding? Most of them are perverted scalies who would just be like, "Oh, so they're siblings... Incest? KINKY!!!"

Anyhoo, I don't think they should be siblings for a number of reasons, and even so, it's very unlikely to happen.
While the GBA version of tEN specifically named them brother and sister, the publishers weren't pleased when they discovered that error, and have since made it official that Spyro and Cynder are not related. And the last scene in DotD was completely intended as a romantic moment.
So maybe they ought to be siblings to un-cliché the story a bit, but it's not going to happen.

Given the bad name the Spyro/Cynder crowd has given the franchise and the fandom as a whole, something could stand to be done about it, but I doubt anything will beyond the pairing being ignored in all future installments.

Frankly, I would have preferred if they had been siblings. It makes the story less cliche. And it doesn't actually interfere with their "relationship" since it does not, as yet, exist.

Unfortunately, at least for now, it has been confirmed by Chris Wilson that Spyro and Cynder aren't related in any way. It'd be nice if they'd tell us how, since we have no idea where those eggs came from.

If that is the case then it might stir up their little relationship in some way. Then again, it's not clear that they were given birth by the same parents/mates biological-wise but... maybe step sister?

A dragon/armadillo hybrid sounds like it could be cool.

Anyway, all the eggs were in the same batch of eggs from the same source (fairy realm, stork nest, etc) so I assume they are siblings.

Would it really be that awkward if they found a connection and then later found out that they were siblings? Even if this series is directed towards little kids, kids aren't stupid, they would understand the irony...right?

I thought they were brother and sister ever since ignitus told spyro they were closer than he thought he was to cynder. I was like oh that has to be his sister, then they say they were born around the same time? I dont remember if they said that they were born at the Same time or not though.

You must forget that at the very end, after the credits, spyro and cynder were flying around happily, laughing and chasing each other around. of course, there is a possibility of sisterly love, but the tone in which she said it would make me think of romantic feelings.
