the reason the old games were fun was because you have to EARN your power
in these games you can just throw your power all around, it involves no skill

Å½ Â· @ratchet : Look, the "Take time for powers to return" is just a statement, so it still makes sense that even his infinite flying powers may just be disabled. It also makes sense that he doesn't have that purple element named Dragona with him and spit it out anywhere. Wait, you asked "Why did they go anyway?", well, it's because it took all of Spyro's Dragona power to release the Dragona Fury, and that power is too powerful that it requires you to drain every bit of strength inside you.

And I DID NOT SAY THAT DARKNESS RETURNED IN LATER GAMES, you clearly didn't understand me. The Dark Master was re-imprisoned, and darkness was sealed away, which would explain the peaceful era of Spyro 1, unless Sierra decides to make a Sequel for ANB.

so what are you saying, that the dark master escaped in the later games so that a bit of darkness returned
and why does it take time for spyro's powers to return, it doesn't make sense, why did they go way?
why can spyro fly in ANB
why can sparx talk
why arnt the gardian frozen in spyro 1

From what I'm inferring as to ANB as a prequel, at the end we have seen the statement "It will take time for your powers to return." I am assuming from that statement that every sign of Spyro's Dragona element has been depleted, and as well as the Dark Master's re-imprisonment caused the dark force to not spread out.

Eternal NIGHT? a very dark game, and well i dont think spyro was very mature in ANB, did he get a concussion or something in spyro 1 so that the colours of the game changed back to lovely bright colours.

The new characters are great and all, but I personally would prefer a game like the original game.
