Well I hate to tell you bud when you get a bunch of Cynder fans on the forum screaming about their undying love for Cynder it kinda ruins the mental image in our minds. She was fine up until DotD then things went nuts.

There a plenary of fans that think of cynder as a character not a *bleep* Sex Thing that boosts the scaley fandom section for the furries.

And every forum community has drama.

Im not a RABIDCYNDER fan, but I do play her the most on DotD because I prefer her moves over Spyro's.

Don't like Cynder very much. I liked her better in the firs LOS game, and thats about it. D: She tends to follow the cliche' of a primary love interest to the main character, which isn't even Spyro right now. Cynder is level, maybe even higher than spyro on the fan level.
She is a fair character, but cliches are a pet-peeve of mine. Theres just too many stories/games/movies with the typical female damsel in distress, or a lover with a dark past that links them with darkness or dgvsdfgvf. At this point, even ember would be a better mach in my opinion, being all mutual and such.

Yeah I've also nearly considered Ember more now...for Cynder has far surpassed Spyro in popularity now thanks to all this...her role should have been kept as an anti-villain of sorts instead of jumping right into the ally/love interest role.

Well you all probably know that games need to develop and change so it doesnt turn "old". SO, they used one of their cards - which is Cynder turning good - right in the start of the franchise.

What a bad.. bad move...

They were so n00b that they couldnt themselves see any improvement in the gameplay whatsoever, so they had to turn Cynder good to keep the fans in a leash.

Honestly, Do i like Cynder Its none of you business. but I would be nice for this to happen, I had this conversation on a different topic but here it goes again. people who like a certain character like that character it just shows that their a fan but it doesn't give anyone the right to dis the fan you can dis the character but not the fan, you go over the line if you dis the fan.

And if your not going to watch video grievous16 posted then don't say that your not just don't watch it.

Hmm, what to do with Cynder as a character. She embodies all these cliches... I figure if they just try to get away from the major ones, she might be a more acceptable character. Too bad all these cliches are the foundation of the character, and thus it's not going to be easy to change them, but they could pull it off.

Ex- Evil character going over to the good side. It would have been better if she'd struggled a bit more with the whole thing, instead of just "Ok, I'm on your side now ^_^". They missed a chance in DotD (They had a little bit of it in TEN) to show her reuniting with the apes, the results of which would have been interesting. The fact that Malefor betrayed them might have further convinced her she was doing the right thing, or made her start to second-guess herself, if they'd devoted any time to a scene for it. They ended up side-stepping the matter of her fighting former allies because the apes became skeletal (assumed to be monsters that can't be reasoned with, so she won't feel conflicted fighting them). Heck, the apes could have been a whole third faction in the on-going war, betrayed by the DM, but not entirely eager to ally with the dragons. Its like the writers were TRYING to over-simplify things. It's kind of sad.
