I had the opportunity to ask the composers of the TLoS trilogy soundtrack questions about themselves and their Spyro work. The interview is fairly extensive and has some interesting tidbits, such as the fact the song "This Broken Soul" refers to Ignitus and Spyro, not Cynder.

Read it all and please comment on it, even mention questions not asked that should have been.

Ooh, that was a nice read for me.
Kinda funny how neither of them really planned to do that. I actually plan on going far into music - especially composing. So it was nice for me to read some of that.
Maybe I'll be in a spot like that one day. Sticking out Tongue

I still prefer the original games' compositions (I think that's just because I have a soft spot for the Police, though) but the soundtrack for Ten was.. .wow. Just beautiful. It's rather nice to see the games branching out into so many new areas, and the lyrics of that song have been handed around half my aniamtion class ^^

This is an awesome read.

So is there ever going to be a website where a person (such as, oh, I don't know, MYSELF Laugh) can go to download these songs from the newer games?

I know that almost every video game-music database has songs from previous Spyro games, but not from the new LOS series...I really want songs from TEN as well as a few from ANB...

Anyway, nice interview...I was looking for a music thread!

Maybe someone would care to rip it? If they have spare time? I would definetaly try if I had some time on my hands...just use my Location Free station on my PC and rip sound...perfect quality...

I e-mailed Becky and she replied back! She's such a sweet lady. You guys should e-mail her saying that she does a good job with composing the Spyro music. That's what I did and she replied saying that she appreciates me saying that I enjoy her music and look forward to her future ones. It felt nice knowing that one my favorite composers took appreciation in what I said. I even gave her a link to my Youtube page and she said she would take a look at it!
It was awesome. =D Don't spam her though with stuff like that! =P LOL

thank you dark fury dragon for this interview. i love the music in the legend of spyro.. managed to get some of it onto my zune. love it love it love it... favorite songs are the title screen music from the eternal night, the really dark symphonic and choir stuff when you first get into the temple with ignitus from a new beginning ... and the new music on the spyrothedragon website.. wow.
