I dont think the game sucks, it is alot like the first one but more dificult, and much longer. But I would only get it for about 30$ forty seem a little much but hey, I spent 40 on it [before I knew what it was going to be like]
Ž · If the last Spyro game you played is ANB, this is DEFINITELY worth it. It's a very great comeback after a good disappointment. Be reminded that the 2 series cannot be compared with it's goodness at all (the new one and the old one), so as long as you played ANB, you definitely need to get this one. It's like an incomplete set without this.
I'd suggest hiring it first before spending your money on it. I wouldn't call it wasting just yet as it's mostly individually determined whether you like it or not, but it's not a good game in my eyes.
I agree that it's longer than the first game as well as harder, but at the same time contains more bugs and errors than ETD, or at least in my ps2 version. That said, the harder aspect of it was mostly due to those errors. The gameplay is basically the same as ANB though with several new powers. The tutorials are an improvement over ANB, yet are still most annoying to have to play through. Then there's Dragon (bullet) Time which is pretty cool, but vital throughout the game as well. The extras are nice and rewarding, making finishing the game worth it.
Personally though I just don't like this style of gameplay, walking from room to room, battling the same enemies over and over, thus I'm somewhat biased.
