Ive seen alot of posted and all that show me that very many think that they died at the end.
I had to tell all my friends that like Spyro that they didnt die and their still alive bc of the cutscene.

Yeah, most of the fans who first saw the last cutscene didn't fully understand the ending. They assume Spyro and Cynder died and are flying in 'heaven' WRONG. They're flying over the Valley of Avalar, if anyone recognized the background and the scenery.

Also, the Chronicler clearly says,

Spoiler:

You see, each time a dragon dies, a new page is written in this book. I've done my best...but I can't seem to find any trace of Spyro.

Since Spyro and Cynder aren't mentioned in the Book of Death, they're still alive somewhere in the world.

Unfortunantly, of course.

Why "of course." I was started hyperventilating for the whole credits until I saw the cutscene. "Thank God!!!!!!!!!!!!" I said. I was relieved like crazy!

But then they would come up with a plot with them being ressurected and all cos the fanboys/girls would just whine about it all the time *yaawn* or something Sleep
They finished the trilogy,I hope they don't pull off an Indiana Jones on TloS and give us a fourth part of this whole story...*fingers crossed*
but thats just my oppinionz :3

Sure, and have Spyro fans everywhere getting angry and sad at the producers for killing off their favorite purple dragon.

Every Spyro game with a complete story had a happy ending, and DotD was no exception with one. They're alive and well. If you don't like it, then too bad.

That's the thing right there.

Every story has a happy ending. Rarely do you find someone who has the guts to do something drastic. I'm quite tired of it. Shakespeare did it. Why can't modern day ones do it?

Becuase of fans. If you follow fan direction, you get fanservice. Going with the original idea is a good thing.

Spyro has always been a franchise with happy endings and good storylines. Think of the controversery if they added a tragic end to the title character of the franchise. What would the fans think? They would go balistic and hysterical, upset over the death of the purple dragon.

...didn't you once get into an argument over DotD? Over in Activision. Oh yes, I remember.

And DotD is nothing more than ideas with no originality.

Again, it leads to the previous statement; FANS. Sure some will protest, but some will also praise it. Isn't there always another side to the coin? If they kill the title character, oh well, IT'S A VIDEO GAME. STuff happens. I'm not denying that the series has had happy endings, I just think that it is getting a little old. Ignitus's death was forseen since ANB. I think that if they pull off something unexpected, then it may make people just go 'wow...'.

Of course, all of what I am going to say is going on deaf ears for most everyone.

Spyro was also always meant to be lighthearted and fun, but look what LoS did. They tried to make it into a dark and serious epic hero's journey type thing.

What "Spyro has always been" no longer applies here, so the least they could have done was something original and unexpected.
