In Spyro yotd there is a cheat qhere u can set the difficult level of the game. Does someone knows how it works? i mean, how can i turn it more difficult? and, if someone have played it that way, is there any difference?

hm... I'm not 100% sure on how it works, but I think the difficulty level increases if you don't die or lose in the challenges. My brother tried to do that.

the cheats are:

HARDER: O, [], -->, <--, -->, [], O, []
EASIER: O, [], -->, <--, -->, [], O, X

NOTE: in Fireworks Factory, there are 2 ninjas that jump down from a tall building. in easier, the ninjas don't appear, and their gems are at the top of the building, and it's impossible to get to them.

It adjusts to how well you are doing. If you haven't many lives, and are doing well, it will automatically get harder. Same goes for if you aren't doing very good; It'll get easier.

How can the game possibly be harder or easier?

There is no health bar. When you flame an enemy it dies and then POOF!

So what changes are done when it gets "easier" or "harder"?

It changes the amount of enemies from what i can gather or how they attack be it very hard or easy. Otherwise im not really sure.

hmmmmm. I seriously don't think that more enemies would make the game harder.

Has anybody tried playing the whole game on "hard" difficulty? I tried it with Spike and the cheat gives him more health and you have to spit these blue spike balls at him. I wonder what The Sorceress would do.

There are 2 places where the ninjas jump down (at the entrance of the building and exit of the building). Which place is it?

I'm pretty sure one thing the difficulty modes do is adjust your gliding. On Easy, the game will make you glide longer and higher; on Hard, you'll glide lower and shorter. That can't be the only thing it does, but I'm sure it doesn't adjust the number of enemies. That's always the same.

I don't know the location of the missing gems glitch, but I know the glitch is fixed in the NTSC Greatest Hits version. So if you have that one, you don't need to worry about that glitch.

Having this in the game just seems quite pointless to me. It is easy enough as it is, and I see no reason to make it harder. Limiting your jumping and gliding abilities just seems unfair.
