I produced a green stool today.

Like a kelly green color.

It scared me at first. I thought it might have been something I ate. Then I checked the web, and this is what I found.

Apparently, the liver secretes a green fluid called bile that helps with digestion. The liquid turns brown after it properly breaks down the nutrients in the food you consume. But if the digestion process was sped up for any reason, the bile will remain green when it is defecated.

I guess that makes sense for me, my diet has been strange and I may have accidentally sped it up.

Other causes of green stool include:

* Laxative use
* Antibiotic use
* Medication side effects
* Food poisoning
* Celiac disease
* Ulcerative colitis
* Crohn's disease
* Malabsorption
* Irritable bowel syndrome
* Bacterial overgrowth
* Infectious diarrhea - especially salmonella and giardia
* Traveler's diarrhea
* Cancer (I wonder if they just put this here for Ks & Gs)

Has this ever happened to you?

Or does this just gross you out? lol

I didn't think it was that bad. I was really trying to come from the medical standpoint and not an immature standpoint. I enjoy speaking on some things most people don't ever mention because they think it's odd, but in fact, it's quite normal. For instance, ever get that squiggly line on your eye that you can see if you focus just right. You can't look towards the squiggly line for it'll move right along with your eye.
