If you owned Spyro, what would you do with him?
I'd revert back to the original series. I'd do a 3D sequel to Shadow Legacy, since the DS has pretty much the same power as the N64.

I'd probably take the same direction of making it more serious, HOWEVER, I would have done so without having to reboot the franchise in order to do it. Did like the idea of having a dragon as a main villain instead of some creature, however it be nice if it were once every blue moon.
Probably would have expanded on the whole dragon culture a bit more to get a better feel for where Spyro and the gang actually live. This way players will feel more atmosphere from the game instead of just going to it.
I would have kept Cynder, and Malefor, but would make them part of some forgotten or wasteland like area, y'know the events that happen in ANB but with the original trilogy spin on it... ah that would be soo much better
Probably try to bring in some new game-play mechanics for Spyro, I personally like the four breathe thing, but at the same time I do think that makes Spyro a tad bit overpowered as well. Maybe some other abilities for him that doesn't focus on breathes, but his body ie Pole spinning, and head bashing.

Have you played Shadow Legacy? That was a lot like TLoS. In fact, it was meant for the PS2 but then they decided to change it into TLoS, and so made it for the DS.

This exactly
Expand the dragon culture (the Artisans etc)
Malefor could stay as some kind of villian and Cynder could be an anti-hero or rival or something
Spyro doesn't really have a rival anyway...
The four breathes could work if implended properly.for puzzles and stuff and not make them as powerful as the flame breath.
Or maybe just fire/ice .
It could all work....

. . . *cringes* Ugh, if its a lot like TLOS then I may have to pass you up on that one Scarlett . However, I'm in the process to gather all the Spyro games anyway, so when I find some money I might just check it out. Or check the board for SL

Anti-Hero Cynder FTW . Honestly be a whole let better than that wretched Mary -Sue that plagues DotD, BLECK! . This way she can keep her mysterious dark persona, without having to be stuck with the Gary Stu that dares go by the name of Spyro . . . "Because he left nothing left for me to fight for" . . . *Shakes fist*
Again, for the elemental breathes, yeah, wouldn't mind if they dove under a tractor, but if they are going to have them, they better be a little more creative than what TLOS gave us. . .

Is Shadow Legacy any good?
S'alright. Had a lot of wasted potential and a lot of evident LoS pointers. I mean, Red, a villian dragon, is actually a GOOD dragon but was controlled by an evil purple dragon? Sounds similar? And purple dragons are special? It actually says that.
